Dr. Molefi Kete Asante is a distinguished professor at Temple University and the founder of the Afrocentricity theory, a globally influential framework in Africology, cultural studies, and communication. Author of more than 100 books and one of the most cited African American scholars, he established the nation’s first Ph.D. program in African American Studies and leads the Molefi Kete Asante Institute for Afrocentric Studies.
