The 18th Annual ACANA Festival Brings the Waterfront to Life!

Part of the signature PECO Multicultural Series presented by PECO Energy and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, the 18th ACANA Festival transformed Cherry Street Pier at Penn’s Landing into a premier showcase of Global African Diaspora culture. Founded in 2007 as a neighborhood street celebration, ACANA Fest has grown into the largest African festival on the East Coast!

This year’s festival welcomed nearly 6,000 visitors and featured more than 45 vendors including food vendors, community partners, sponsors, and merchandise vendors offering traditional crafts, fashion and jewelry such as Liberian-inspired clothing from local designers like Roshe Design.

Attendees enjoyed a dedicated Children’s Corner filled with games and entertainment, alongside a sprawling Food Court offering authentic cuisine from across the African Diaspora. From live music by TENI and award-winning American Nigerian artist to traditional dance and high-energy spotlights on local talent, the festival once again connected generations through art, music, and shared heritage.
